File an Ethics Complaint
The MACPA Professional Ethics Task Force's role is to encourage ethical and creditable conduct by CPAs and to uphold and enforce the Code of Professional Conduct. The Task Force follows the policies and procedures oulined in the JEEP manual to investigate potential disciplinary matters, enter into settlement agreements and present cases before a Joint Trial Board.
Complaint Procedures
The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) has the authority to investigate actions of its members. While the Association represents the majority of CPAs in Michigan – about 90 percent – complaints against non-member CPAs must be made in writing to the Michigan State Board of Accountancy. Complaints to the MACPA must be sent in writing to the MACPA Professional Ethics Task Force.
