MACPA Awards

The MACPA appreciates the efforts of its members and affiliates and acknowledges exceptional accomplishments through special award recognition. Each year the MACPA accepts nominations for the following awards. Award winners are celebrated at the MACPA Awards Dinner each fall. Award winners are also submitted for AICPA's awards, as Michigan’s nominees for each award. Nominate a fellow accounting professional for an award today.

Accounting Teaching Excellence Award

The MACPA Accounting Teaching Excellence Award recognizes educators who excel in teaching accounting and promoting the CPA profession. The stellar individuals who receive this award not only emphasize the importance of accounting education to the profession, but the role professors play in supporting CPAs.

Business & Industry Hall of Fame Award

Honors business and industry accounting professionals who epitomize The New Finance Professional, which includes the attributes of leadership, stature as a business partner and vision; maintains a value-added focus; is committed to technology and champions change.

Chair's Service Award

Recognizes those whose service to the MACPA rises above and beyond the traditional level of voluntarism.

Distinguished Achievement Award

Honors accounting professionals who have distinguished themselves by outstanding achievement, leadership and service in such areas as commerce or industry, governmental or public service, education or civic and social endeavors.

Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award

The AICPA recognizes full-time college accounting educators distinguished for excellence in teaching and for involvement in the accounting profession.

Distinguished Service Award

Honors those who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the CPA profession; traditionally received by the immediate MACPA past chair of the board.

Innovative User of Technology Award

Provides recognition for accounting professionals who develop business solutions through the effective application of information technology.

Legislative Impact Award

Honors those who have played a significant role in the Association’s legislative initiatives.

Outstanding CPA in Government Award

Recognizes the achievements of individual accounting professionals employed in government.

Outstanding Visionary Award

The Outstanding Visionary Award recognizes the commitment and dedication of individuals who have provided exceptional guidance, leadership and vision to the CPA profession.

Partnership Award

The award recognizes organizations that have partnered with the MACPA to serve communities throughout Michigan and to increase awareness of the accounting profession.

Public Service Award

The Public Service Award honors accounting professionals who have attained a high level of public service. The awards inform the public of the contributions CPAs are making to their communities and encourage CPAs to become involved in public service activities.
