Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants Continues Collaboration with Detroit Red Wings to Help Fund Scholarships

MICHIGAN ASSOCIATION OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS CONTINUES COLLABORATION WITH DETROIT RED WINGS TO HELP FUND SCHOLARSHIPS

TROY, November 18, 2009 –The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) has announced the continued alliance for a second year with the Detroit Red Wings.  The collaboration provides MACPA members with exclusive pricing for tickets, while helping to fund scholarships for the fifth/Graduate year for those majoring in accounting.

The MACPA membership advantage includes $48 tickets at a member price of $35 or $38 tickets at a member price of $25.  For both prices, $5 of each ticket that is sold will be donated to the Michigan Accountancy Foundation (MAF).  The Michigan Accountancy Foundation awards scholarships to deserving accounting students attending Michigan’s colleges and universities, helping to assist them in funding their fifth/graduate year.

In addition to the special ticket prices, the MACPA is offering members the “Yes-vember Promotion Package” which includes a ticket to two Red Wings games and a ticket to the College Great Lakes Invitational for $50.  Members can choose from the following games:

  • November 20, 7:30pm - Detroit Red Wings vs. Florida Panthers
  • November 25, 7:30pm - Detroit Red Wings vs. Atlanta Thrashers
  • November 30, 7:30 pm - Detroit Red Wings vs. Dallas Stars

Each game will feature a special MACPA offer
