MICHIGAN ASSOCIATION OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS COLLABORATES WITH DETROIT TIGERS

TROY, June 2009 –The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) has announced an alliance with the Detroit Tigers. The partnership will provide MACPA members with exclusive pricing for tickets, and help fund scholarships for college seniors majoring in accounting. 

The MACPA membership advantage includes a $5 savings for selected tickets in the Outfield Box and Upper Box seating areas.  In addition, a donation will be made to the Michigan Accountancy Foundation (MAF) for every ticket sold.  

The Michigan Accountancy Foundation awards scholarships to deserving accounting students attending Michigan colleges and universities.  The MAF provides this scholarship program to assist current college accounting majors in funding their fifth/graduate year.  More than 170 students have received scholarship monies in the past six years.

• Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals, Wednesday, July 8
• Tigers vs. Seattle Mariners, Wednesday, July 22
• Tigers vs. Baltimore Orioles, Monday, August 3
• Tigers vs. Seattle Mariners, Wednesday, August 19
• Tigers vs. Cleveland Indians, Tuesday, September 1
• Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals, Wednesday, September 16

 During each game, a lucky winner will receive an autographed picture from the Tigers and the MACPA will be mentioned on the scoreboard.
