CPAs are more than just accountants, they are leaders of the community. This media library was created to shine a spotlight on the important work the MACPA and members of the Association have accomplished for citizens across the state.
Michigan Accountancy Foundation Video - The Michigan Accountancy Foundation (MAF) supports accounting education in an effort to lead students into the constantly changing CPA arena. Through its mission, the MAF promotes excellence in accounting education while attracting the best and the brightest to the profession.
MACPA's High School Leaders Conferences - Motivating students into considering a career in accounting as they move forward with their education – that is the goal of the MACPA High School Leader’s Conferences. Students and educators participate in a half-day conference featuring presentations and exercises given by MACPA members about various aspects of accounting.
MACPA, BCCCP and the Accounting Aid Society Partnership Video - Educating and helping the citizens of Michigan is a top priority for the MACPA. Partnering with the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program and the Accounting Aid Society allows the Association to assist the local community with their yearly income tax returns while educating them on preventative measures for breast cancer.
MACPA in the Race for the Cure® - Understanding the importance of finding a cure for breast cancer is something the MACPA takes very seriously. For this reason, the MACPA has been a sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® for the past serveral years. Members of the Association generously take a few hours each year to join the MACPA team and race for the cure to make a difference in the lives of men and women across the state.
MACPA's Partnership with the Hospice of Michigan - The MACPA Financial Literacy Task Force, through an innovative partnership with Hospice of Michigan (HOM), completed a booklet titled Financial Affairs at the End of Life. The MACPA Financial Literacy Task Force developed the booklet, which includes checklists and directives, for families to utilize in end-of-life planning for loved ones.
MACPA - Crain's Cool Places to Work - In 2007 Crain's Detroit Business honored the MACPA as a 'Cool Place to Work'. This video showcases why the Association is a Cool Place to Work.
