U.S Department of Labor Focuses on Audits of Employee Benefit Plans – Are You Prepared?

The U.S. Department of Labor is currently focusing on audits of employee benefit plans. This can be a high risk area, and you need to make sure that compliance is top on your list. The MACPA is offering the right education at the right time to support your audit compliance and application of standards. The audits of these employee benefit plans not only affect the auditor. Plan sponsors and Plan administrators fall under scrutiny as well. Do not wait! Get education in this area before the DOL knocks on your door.

Ian Dingwall, Chief Accountant of the Employee Benefits Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor, will be presenting at the MACPA’s Audits of Employee Benefit Plans Forum on June 11, 2008 (space is limited). You will not leave this forum as the same auditor you were when you walked in. You can register online or by contacting the MACPA CPE department at 248.267.3700 to register. The cost to attend this event is $225 for MACPA members and $325 for non members. Bring your firm colleagues and receive a multiple attendee discount: the first registration is full price and each additional registration from the same firm receives a $50 discount. This event is special, from all perspectives.
