TROY, Mich., Sept. 19, 2007 – The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants’ (MACPA) newly designed, interactive website (www.michcpa.org) shined as it earned the Website Diamond Award at the Michigan Society of Association Executives’ (MSAE) Diamond Awards Dinner.
The MACPA was one of more than 40 associations that submitted for nine coveted awards at the annual MSAE event. The MACPA won the Website award for an association with a budget over $2.5 million.
“Based on member feedback and staff dedication we put together the redesigned Website to be a useful tool for the public and the accounting profession,” stated Peggy A. Dzierzawski, MACPA president and CEO. “We are so proud to earn this Diamond Award because it reinforces that the work done has made an effective, helpful site.”
The re-designed MACPA website was launched earlier this year to provide members and the public additional information in an easy to use format. The new site offers consumers, business owners and educators information such as a CPA referral service, tax headlines and tips, and the latest money management articles.
Advanced features for members include “My CPE Tracker” which allows members to store continuing education transcripts online. Additionally, members also benefit from their own new e-mail account on the MACPA web site.
The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants is a diversified, professional, member-driven organization serving nearly 17,000 CPAs and affiliated professionals throughout Michigan. Visit MACPA’s web site at www.michcpa.org.
