Login Help

You can login to the MACPA web site via the box located in the upper left of the home page or by clicking Login at the top of any page. You may also be prompted to login if you click on a members-only resource after which you will be redirected to the page you selected. You must create an account before you can attempt to login.

Creating an Account

Access the Create Account page and select the appropriate path:

Non-Member - for non-members of the MACPA who would like to transact on this web site.

  1. Fill out the non-member profile. Required information is bolded and preceeded by an asterisk.
  2. Choose a unique username. If your choice is not unique you will be prompted to enter a new one. Your username cannot be changed at a later time. Usernames may contain any combination of letters and/or numbers but are not case sensitive. (Please do not use spaces or special characters.)
  3. Choose a password and confirm it by re-typing it. Passwords must be between 6 and 15 characters and may contain any combination of letters and/or numbers but are case sensitive. (Please do not use spaces.)
  4. Choose a secret question and answer to use as verification if you should forget your login information in the future.
  5. Check any boxes that are to you and then click SUBMIT.
  6. You will now be logged in to the MACPA web site and may make purchases.

Memberfor MACPA members who need to create a web site account. Note: If you have not logged in since December 2006 your old login information is invalid. You will need to create a new account using this option.

  1. Enter your last name and your MACPA Member ID. Your member ID is a 4 or 5 digit number that can be found on all CPE cards, your MACPA membership certificate, and some MACPA publications. This is NOT your license number with the state that holds your CPA license. If you need assistance finding your ID, please contact the MACPA at membership@michcpa.org, 248.267.3700 or toll-free in Michigan at 1.888.877.4273.
  2. Verify the e-mail address the MACPA has on file. If this is not correct you may change it before clicking NEXT.
  3. Choose a unique username. You may use your existing username but this will be the first part of your complimentary e-mail address if you choose this option and it cannot be changed at a later time. If your choice is not unique you will be prompted to enter a new one. Usernames may contain any combination of letters and/or numbers but are not case sensitive. (Please do not use spaces or special characters.)
  4. Choose a password and confirm it by re-typing it. Passwords must be between 6 and 15 characters and may contain any combination of letters and/or numbers but are case sensitive. (Please do not use spaces.)
  5. Choose a secret question and answer to use as verification if you should forget your login information in the future.
  6. Check the box if you would like a complimentary e-mail address (USERNAME@michigancpas.org) and click NEXT. This will NOT change your primary contact e-mail address you verified in step 2 above.
  7. Check the box after reading and agreeing to the Terms of Service and click SUBMIT.
  8. You will now be logged in to the MACPA web site and may make purchases and access members-only resources.

Forgot Account Information

If you forget your username and/or password, go to the Password Recovery page to access your account information.

  1. Enter either your username or the e-mail address the MACPA has on file and click SUBMIT.
  2. Your secret question will be displayed. Enter your answer and click SUBMIT.
  3. Your username will be displayed at the top of the page. You will be required to enter a new password and confirm it.
  4. You may also change your secret question or answer but this is not required. When finished, click SUBMIT and your account information will be updated.

My Web Site Account

You may change your password, secret question and answer at any time by selecting My Web Site Account under My Membership. Your username cannot be change once your account has been created.

Remember Me

You can choose to have the MACPA web site remember your username and password information by checking the box titled "Remember Me". This option is computer specific meaning it will only work on the computer you selected it on. If you access the MACPA web site from multiple computers you can select it on each. WARNING: if you leave your computer unattended with this option on, others may be able to access the MACPA as you and see your profile information. If you have selected the box in the past and wish to remove this option, you will need to clear the MACPA cookie from your browser. Login to E-Mail

If you are logged in to the MACPA site you will be automatically logged in to your @michigancpas.org e-mail account. To access your e-mail, click the My E-Mail icon in the upper right corner of the MACPA web site and it will open in a new window. (More E-mail Help)
