National Association of Black Accountants

The National Association of Black Accountants assisted the MACPA in the development of the Minority Accounting College Leadership Conference. Their support contributed to the great success of this conference.

The Michigan Association of CPAs, the National Association of Black Accountants and Walsh College created this conference to show students what it takes to become a CPA and to encourage minority students to pursue their CPA credentials.

The Michigan Association of CPAs and the National Association of Black Accountants felt this conference was particularly important because it increased awareness of the accounting profession and opportunities among minority students. The attendees were taught about the CPA exam, given real life work situations and networking opportunities.

The National Association of Black Accountants has been a leader in expanding the influence of minority professionals in the accounting industry since 1969.  The Association helps to develop and promote the professional skills of their members, as well as to assist minority students entering the accounting profession.
