Michigan Accountancy Reform
In 2005, Governor Jennifer Granholm signed a package of legislative bills that amend the Michigan Accountancy Act. The bills provide whistleblower protection for licensed CPAs and their employees; requires mandatory enrollment in a practice monitoring program for firms providing attest services; and increases enforcement of unlicensed activity.
