MACPA Political Education Fund (PEF)

Click to contribute.

  • The MACPA Political Education Fund (PEF) uses firm/corporate contributions to fund advocacy initiatives and political/legislative education.
  • The contributions are also used to defray administrative costs for grassroots events and PAC fundraising efforts.
  • The money cannot be used to fund any candidate committee or PAC that contributes to any political campaign.

Why Should My Firm/Company Contribute to the MACPA PEF?

The MACPA Political Education Fund (PEF) is able to provide legislative educational activities for legislators and MACPA members.

Commonly known as an “issue-advocacy fund,” the PEF can use your firm/company's corporate contributions to:

  • Sponsor MACPA Grassroots Activities: These activities encourage relationship building between members and legislators, as well as an open forum for discussion of issues pertaining to the CPA profession.
  • Complement MACPA PAC Contributions: Many candidates for public office have foundations or issue-advocacy funds of their own. The PEF is able to double the impact of the MACPA PAC by making contributions to such entities.
  • Defray Administrative Costs: Raising money costs money. The MACPA PAC is able to use PEF dollars to defray the expenses associated with fundraising initiatives, mailings, even staff time and resources.
