The Michigan Accountancy Foundation (MAF) supports accounting education in an effort to lead students into the constantly changing CPA arena. Through its mission, the MAF promotes excellence in accounting education while attracting the best and the brightest to the profession. Established in 1961, MAF is affiliated with the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). The Foundation is funded by voluntary contributions, which are tax deductible. |

Mission
The Michigan Accountancy Foundation’s mission is to encourage excellence in the public accounting profession by supporting accounting education.
This Mission is accomplished through the following:
- providing scholarships for fifth year/graduate accounting students aspiring to become CPAs.
- sponsoring a symposium for the dissemination and development of accounting knowledge for college/university accounting educators.
MAF Symposium
Each fall, the MAF sponsors this event for college and university educators, providing them with the necessary tools to promote the accounting profession. More>
